All of us usually have stressful jobs even though we enjoy them. And if we do not enjoy them, it can become even worse. The demands of our job might be high most of the time. We can either be dealing with customers, clients, bosses who demand or expect different services. We have to take care of our selves to continue giving. We are like a water well, we have water we give, we do not have water we do not give.
We might be looking for ways to distress from our job or daily life activities and here we will begin discussing one at a time. 1. Me Time-
You might have heard of me time. How does me time look like and not feel guilty about it? Me time is just giving our selves minutes at a time to enjoy our own time whatever that might look like. It can be just sitting down and seeing, admiring, what we are able to perceive with our 5 senses. What can I see? What can I smell? What can I touch? What can I hear? What can I taste? Yes, using our five senses to appreciate and be mindful of what we have around.
2. Unwind-chill-out-
Chill-out, you might wonder, when can you find chill-out time? Well, we want to distress from work. We just need to be intentional about having a sit down time. Sit and rest. It can be as short as 15 to 20 minutes. We might run the risk of wanting more rest time. Sit, chill and smell the roses, well known phrase, and reflect on the day we have had. We all have things to do after a long day of work but if we do not intentionally rest; we run the risk of running on empty. More than likely become sick or not be able to be productive at work or any other activity that we might need to perform.
